How To Apply

The application process consists of two parts which must be completed by:
  • Ph.D. Application Deadline: January 15th
  • M.S. Application Deadline: February 15th
Part 1: Graduate School Application
  • Complete online graduate admission application.
  • The $50 processing fee should be paid directly to the graduate school.
  • M.S. candidates must select the Radiological Physics option.
  • Send one set of original transcripts directly to graduate school.

Part 2: Program Application
The following documents need to be submitted to the Department of Radiation Oncology:
  • Program Application Form
  • Send GRE and TOEFL scores directly to the department (the institution code for WSU is 1898, and the department code 0609 should be used (also known as medical sciences).
  • Send another set of original transcripts directly to the department.

After your file has been completed you should receive an e-mail. If you do not receive an e-mail you can inquire about the status of your application by emailing medphysgradprog@med.wayne.edu. It is your responsibility to ensure that all documents are received prior to the deadline.
 
 
 
Admission Information:
The M.S. program admission is restricted to approximately 15 students annually, while Ph.D. admissions are between 1-3 students per year, depending on funding.
The average score of accepted applicants are:
  • GRE Verbal: 560
  • GRE Quantitative: 760
  • GRE Writing: 5.0
  • GPA: 3.7
The TOEFL exam is required for all students from non-English speaking countries. The GRE general exam is required for all applicants, while the GRE Physics test is strongly recommended for Ph.D. applicants.
