Weisberg Cancer Treatment Center

The Weisberg Clinic, another Karmanos site, opened in 2001. The 18,000-square-foot cancer has combined therapies for cancer patients with integration of therapies including, radiation, chemotherapy, urology, and social work.

Residents in the Radiation Oncology Program may select a “senior service” rotation with focus on GU and Breast in this multidisciplinary, academic environment.

Equipment and technology:

  • Siemens MD2 linear accelerator with SonArray for ultrasound-imaged guided therapy.
  • CT with simulation capabilities through partnership with adjacent Rose imaging center.
  • The clinic currently utilizes paper charts and are integrating with IMPAC patient management system to be a paperless chart facility.
  • Eclipse treatment planning system: plans conventional treatment as well as IMRT. The Eclipse upgrade should be installed in the next several months.
