The Selection Committee does not establish minimum test scores or utilize mathematical formulas to screen applicants. Instead the full scope of an applicant’s background and academic achievement to date is considered.

The program director and selected faculty review applications and identify those who will be invited to interview. Notification is made via email.

The program has eight approved positions. Accordingly, there are typically two PGY-2 residency positions to be filled annually and approximately 20 candidates are interviewed for these positions.

Interview Day
This is generally a Friday in January and consists of individual interviews with representative program faculty, a tour of the Gershenson Radiation Oncology Center, an overview of our research and physics programs and private time to meet with our residents. A social event for candidates and residents is offered the evening prior to interviews.

A committee comprised of the interviewing faculty identifies top candidates and generates a rank list. The department supports a policy of non-discrimination and resident selections are made without regard to race, sex, age, nationality or religion.

Stipends, contracts and related information is available through the Graduate Medical Education Office.
